Lytham In Bloom committee members invited to free hospitality in good will gesture.
Bosco owner Mohamed Ghernout - known as Mo - has been so impressed by the work done by Lytham in Bloom, that he felt he wanted to express his gratitude in the way he knows best. He invited the committee to a free meal at his restaurant.
After greeting the committee at the door, he handed over to his manager Anna Wolniak who supervised the event and looked after all requirements.
"We have been very impressed by the dedication and sheer hard work put in by Lytham in Bloom," said Anna. "I have never experienced volunteers doing so much for other people. They help make Lytham an attractive place in which to live and visit. Our business and those of other local entrepreneurs benefit from all their dedication.
"As well as planting flowers in the tubs, planters and baskets, they arrive very early in the morning to water in Lytham Square and Memorial Gardens. They are incredible and they do it day after day. On top of that, every Monday evening at 6.00 pm they collect litter and tidy up the flowers.
"As a local company which supports initiative and enterprise, we value their contribution to the town. They support us, so we are delighted to support them. We wish them the best of luck in the forthcoming North West in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions. We are right behind them."
Lytham in Bloom Chair, Carol Wildon thanked Bosco for the very kind gesture, adding that it was nice to be appreciated.
Bosco owner Mo has recently opened the Shambles Cafe which is also in Lytham Square. The Shambles is open from 9.00am to 6.00 pm. Bosco's hours are 10.00 am to 10.00 pm with both establishments open daily.
