Helpers at Lytham in Bloom distribute 35 half barrels of flowers round the town.
Occasionally , even Lytham in Blooms loyal band of volunteers are stumped. This was the case when the task was to distribute floral barrels to various points all round the town.
“It was the sheer weight of the filled barrels which confounded us” said Vice Chairman Susan Evans.” “There was no way our volunteers could undertake such a task.” However, once our dilemma became known, along came the cavalry.”
Not only did the three strapping lads offer their muscle, but they also brought along their own transport. It was like manna from heaven. A job which could have taken all day was completed in a matter of hours as the helpers demonstrated their skill and knowhow.
“It’s a bit like having the right tools for the job” said Chairman Carol Wildon. There is a knack to most things and our enthusiastic helpers made it all look so straight forward. The barrels now sit where intended and along with all our other plantings, help make Lytham look attractive and welcoming. We are most grateful.”
